Why was he even wearing an eyepatch??? Was he wearing that this whole time???

There was actually a panel where it showed his eyes was pierced with an arrow, I think he used an eyepatch to cover it while it was healing and now he feels more comfortable wearing it. Is what I think.. (￣∇￣")
