Nah. It's said by multiple people that she's extremely strong. Strong enough to take on him. And what injuries? She didn't get any from the tournament. Yes she got some from the attack with the prince but that was it. Nobody has any sort of knowledge about that Including him. In everyones eyes she's fine. People have no idea how strong a summoner is because there are very few. How could anyone tell that she's injured or on low mana when she hasn't showed it at all? She's been fighting hard. Even if she is younger than him, it's not like she's 8. She's what? 14? He's like 18? They're around that age section I believe. It's honestly not a huge age difference. She has enough skill to fight him. The emperor wouldn't just throw her in if she wasn't capable. He isn't a muscle head idiot for wanting to fight someone who was named so powerful. Plus she literally has injuried him multiple times so far. Even if she is younger, she is still really strong. I don't think her age should be brought into this because she's on his level. And again it isn't his fault that she has injuries and he doesn't know about it.

Dude he has no intention of killing her. We all know that she won't die here. And she's not a baby. She may be 10 but she's so much stronger. Very literally. Even the palace spirit summoners themselves said she's extremely impressive and capable of committing in the young adult section. She may be physically 10 but she's a lot stronger than that. She brought herself into this tournament where she could be injured severely.

Yes and it was her decision to say yes. They gave her the option. And again, he's also helping her. It was a deal and they both get what they want out of it, no? Child or not she's not frail and doesn't have to be treated like one. You're acting as if she can't do anything. Honestly if she does lose then it's just consequences for her actions of running off and getting kidnapped in the first place. And he's not a dick in my opinion. I can see why he'd say no. He wants his son to know running away like that wasn't okay. He has a right to punish his child. That's what happens in this type of settings.

No no no. I'm not victim blaming. What I'm saying is it's her fault for running away without her guards. She really needs to stop doing it because she gets into situations like these. The king has every single right to say no. He's simply showing that a decision already made shouldn't be revoked. It's perfectly fine for him to say no to that. He isn't obligated to take back a decision that he already made.
Oh okay. I agree on you that she does get herself in bad situations when she doesn’t listens. Like with the orcs and how she got separated from the school group. I think that’s the only thing that irritated me cause she thought herself high and mighty and she is but not as much as she thinks. That’s why I liked the realization she made when they got kidnapped.
