Wow, the old game of "Let's make someone feel guilty." I had older relatives that played that with me when I was quite small, and it made me worry and feel guilty for years when I hadn't done anything. It's a control game, and a pretty cruel one at that.

Yeah, you're right. That part made the remarks deliberately and unforgivably cruel of her sister.
Her sister basically said it was the FL fault her husband had an affair and divorced her. Since the FL tried to be "perfect" too much and the new wife doesn't and is happy.
