Nah nope. Patrick is not the demon king.
You know what, this is from experience of reading many novels. I haven't read the novel of this one so I don't know if this is true or not.
But I have a weird hunch that patrick is actually the demon lord. Like there is a big foreshadowing and hints.
Like how he can wield magic with so much expertise. And also his greyish hair.
And in the original game, eumiella appear as the hidden boss after the demon king is defeated. If somehow patrick is the love interest of eumiella in the original game too. That explains why eumiella appears in the demon king castle as the hidden boss.
She must loathe the party for killing her loved ones.
But oh well this is just my theory.
