Istg people are completely missing the point of this story. It's like the while section here is filled with 15 years old in Disney romance.

I still can't over the fact that the Kings "love" is only appearance deep. It's creepy that he fell in love with how a minor looked yet never tried to get to know her. Never liked him and this new chapter definitely didn't help either.
" But I love you more" no sir you're just horny for the "prettiest girl" and you know nothing about her.
I agree that her husband has done far more for her then he has even tried. He can claim to be a better man but he didn't show her any of that now or then.
y’all realize that.. love is not perfect no man that seems to be good is truly EVER the “better man” Regan whom is well known for his ways and drug addiction has stopped fooling with women and stopped taking drugs so they can have children. Like i’m pretty sure i’m not getting it twisted or that this is a different story but this ain’t one of those mushy gushy stories where the ml is the perfect image of a god and saint. Life ain’t rainbows and sprinkles. Love definitely ain’t rainbow and sprinkles.
The King has already begun to show his bad characteristics:
1. He has forcefully pulled our MC to dance with him when she wanted to go back
2. She is telling him that he should basically forget her and he is PERSISTENT TO IGNORE HER WISHES
Sometimes persistence is another form of possession.
Some of y’all need to grow up.
