Well... you know items make a huge part of the power of any player in any game right? If this was isekai instead of vr game I'd totally agree. But as a game... Both he and the other guy who also got there (not his friend) are using very op items, remember that the guy already her 3 of a legendary armor set and probably has other legendary items too.
If anything i feel their luck stat is broken... xD

Yeah the only frog i remember is either the poison test (or one of his poison skill) and child of darkness is a skill as well.
Im pretty sure i saw a chapter with soohyuk using those poison frogs. Kinda like decoy and then attacking the monster simultaneously
If that's the case it's very probably a poison skill, not an item. Maybe the equivalent of fireball from the poison tree? His class is his biggest "cheat"... it doesn't only unlock the element tree but already gives him mastery of a lot of it's skills...
The story is nice and all though i just think soohyuk got too much accessories rn like the wings and the carriage and the child of darkness and the frog and the invisble wand and the rings idk
