i both agree and disagree. Yes some stories need rape or murder for plot points. But the difference is that with murder in horror stories, its still seen as wrong and bad. Whereas in stories like this, it makes it seem like rape is ok just because he loves you. You can still be raped even if you love that person!!!. People arent necessarily mad at love is an illusion specifically, theyre mad that rape is just casually being portrayed as normal, as it always is especially in BL media which is tiring :(
personally i don't think r*pe is necessary at all to tell a good story. and if you need to include it bc of a character's backstory etc, there's no need to show it. many authors write it implied.
i read... a lot. like, all different genres and not only mangas/manhwas on this pirate site. novels, fanfics, you name it. and i've noticed that it's only in yaoi (and hentai too, to be fair) that i see r*pe being overused as a plot device. it's insane, i don't get why certain authors have this obsession with forced s*x.
We are not mad because we perceive it as part of the story conflict. That the author put it there because she can’t think of anything to run the plot. we have no choice but to read because she’s the author, For us it’s not real so why should we be trigger? Even if the rape is casually portrayed like you’re claiming, it’s okay because it’s not like we do the same in real world. Just enjoy the manga and let the characters resolve the conflict and if people really can’t stand it they can just drop it.
Well this is BL omegaverse and I tell you it’s prone to rape scene because the characters are in heat where in they can’t control their sexual urge and stuff. Like hyesung when he’s in heat, he unfasten dojin’s belt and if I remember correctly he suck his d*ck and that’s makes hyesung molester right? Because Dojin wants him to stop but he couldn’t.
Guys don’t you think “rape” is in this type of manga because there is a need of it just like how “killing” should be always included in a horror manga. I’m sure killing is worse than rape but authors still included it, so that the plot will run. Without it the plot will not have conflict and will be probably boringness has no impact. I get it that rape was wrong but this is manga, it’s not real and it’s not like if we read it it will affect us i mean we’re all adults here right? So whenever I read mangas with rape between two person who love each other I just shrug my shoulder and wait what will happen next.(it’s a different story if they don’t love each other) It doesn’t make me say awful things to the character like he’s a fucking rapist or Ect. If that’s what you really think then tell hyesung to put Dojin in prison so that we can all ruin the story. And you can just bush sangwoo ( from killing stalking) for killing many people .
