Pretty good for an office worker

I don't get the hate towards the FL? She's handling the situation pretty well. She has no experience with the wilderness but she keeps relatively calm and moves forward. Not immediately trusting the guy makes sense, even if he saved her, she doesn't know why he did or who he is. Besides, distrust and occasional clumsiness serves to show how she progress later. Both in their relationship and her survival. She's an office worker, not Indiana Jones. Not freaking out completely is already pretty good.

Exactly. Makes me wonder if they're just looking for an excuse to hate on female characters

people cant just accept FL's realistic behavior because it's a fiction story after all

Idk, I think many good fantasy stories have realistic characters. Even if they can shoot laser beams out of their eyes or whatever, they feel sad, stressed and scared in certain situations and that's what makes me sympathize with them. Ofc, sometimes unrealistic characters can be really fun as well, but I usually don't get as emotionally invested in them.
