I also love unexpected couples! I love them so much...
To me, it's all about the narration of the story and how the author builds up the ralationship. I mean, I have a soft spot for beautiful drawing but sometimes if the dialogues and the storyline is good I don't care that much about the art... and even if I prefer some couples, I'm open to knew possibilities. I even like ooc if the story is good.
