According to the spoiler thread in NU. During the wedding, someone reported to Jeremy that Shuli met with an accident. Idk if the wedding continued but afterwards they investigated Shuli's "accident". Nora is one of the people who went to investigate cuz he is part of the secret Knight corps working directly under the emperor. They later find a ruined carriage, the corpses of that maid with Shuli and probably the driver. They got confused because they didn't see where Shuli is. Later on they find Shuli's body parts.
Nora showed her corpse to Jeremy later on. And I think during this instance Nora told Jeremy that they were lucky to have her as a mother because of the sacrifices she made to ensure that the Neuschwanstein children are well protected (Because the relatives are eyeing the property).

The girl Jeremy was supposed to marry, her father was one of the people who plotted to murder shuli. That information was found out by the kids and that put a strain between Jeremy and the girl he was supposed to marry. The wedding is called off and they break up. I think the girls father was sentenced to die and the girl had to live with the guilt of her father killing the stepmother of the boy she loves.

The one who led the murder was Abbington, the knight captain.
Also because of this the wedding was called off. But Ohara, the girl Jeremy was supposed to marry seduced Elias and bore his child. Jeremy had no other option but to bless their marriage .
