Us humans have several classifications of blood types and the most pouplarly followed one is the ABO system along with Rhesus positivity n negativity( this is the rh- n rh+ thing). As long the the recipient and the donor's 'crossmatching' - which is done right before tranfusing anybody's blood is showing normal results it is completely fine to give the blood to anybody even if u r twins (reminder- provided both parties must have the same group). The only thing that doesn't really fall in the criteria is the O negative blood. It is the universal donor aka u can give it to anybody and they wont have TRALI (this is tranfusion related lung injury, one of the most common reactions to blood transfusion). So what i wanna say is, if someone in your family or your immediate family like parents need blood, do not hesitate to donate. IT IS OKAY. Biggest proof is, i gave my blood to my mom during her surgery. We're A positive. Ask if u need further details about this, the chapter on this is stressful n requires the memory of light yagami. T.T
Yes yes! a parent can also donate to their children but everyone is talking about baby wowo and his daddy's case!
