I read the korean raw (no major spoiler) yes he is kinda like Chun's rival, he gives advice to MC, but later he seems fall in love with the MC. This manhwa is full of misunderstanding lol!
I'm agree, love rivals are a common topic, usually helps the characters to make a decision or realize what are they feeling and that. But if the author don't do it properly it becomes a bothersome drama xD
