I totally agree with your comment. A lot of people take other people's feeling so lightly that sometimes what they say become an insult. I have an unrequited love for 5 years since he has a girlfriend I can't do anything about it but for other people, they think I am stupid for still liking him. They would say get over it but that's hard for me. It's not like I can command myself to stop loving him

The main character was in love with someone for years and it’s not gonna take a few days to get over him. He was telling the chief about how he felt and wasn’t beating around the bush about it, so instead of criticizing him learn to see from another person’s perspective other than your own.
