I truly love this manga... though there are some things that I'm not totally happy with - nothing against the manga or artist, just my thoughts.
There were a couple of times where the characters changed how they feel or something they said (could be lost in translation) like Izumi wanting to top: he wanted to before, after their first time, but eventually let it go. Then he tells his friend that it was great and also the role didn't matter because of love. Suddenly he wants to top like there's no tomorrow, what happened to it not being a big deal? And Ryouma was surprised and said he never expected Izumi to want to top but had the same thought when they first got together... there was also Shougo's brother complex: when Izumi fell off the cliff, Shougo worried more about Rei than Izumi (with everything we read leading up to it he should have rushed out into the night looking for them).
I love that Shougo and Rei got married but I also wish (a very small part of me) they hadn't been together... not sure why, maybe because so often in BL it's just a bunch of gay guys that are all friends and just never knew they were all gay?? I love Rei and I love Shougo, and I love them together.
Izumi's manga. As hilarious as it was, especially the comments from the readers, it wouldn't have happened. I dislike when famous ppl get honourary degrees or get to publish just because they're famous so it's probably just a hang-up I have, but I didn't like that he got his manga published. At the very least they would have used a ghost artist so they could capitalize on Izumi's name but still have decent art. This is the one thing I really didn't like.
I wasn't happy with Izumi topping Ryouma - switch couples aren't really my thing... I don't mind it if the couple feels equal, like in Haru Wo Date Ita... but this didn't have that feel to me. I love that Izumi could show his... manliness (?) in how determined he was and he was like "I'm a guy too!" and all that, and I'm glad that Ryouma learned to accept him as a man, it just didn't feel quite right to me when they switched (maybe because Ryouma didn't feel anything?)
All in all, I loved the story and have read it more than once, these are just some thoughts. No hate intended.
I remember this ending differently... after Utou freaks out at the Drs office, it shows Utou about to leave for work but kisses Sumi and their new baby on his way out and Sumi looks happy... there was nothing about them having twins or if Sumi went through with the surgery.
I remember that ending as well. He does have the twins but this extra cook out ending i remember having to click a link in the comment to see on someone’s twitter

It's confusing when they switch between flashbacks from a long time ago, the recent past, and the present but it turned out well... I might be the only one but I really wanted Jin kyo (I think that was his name) to have a kinda happy ending - I wanted him to learn to love and finally be happy (he felt affection and truly cared for his partners - the 2 guys - but didn't really understand how to love)... and I wanted his ex to really be happy (he clearly still loved jin kyo).
I didn't like the sister - she wanted something and didn't care who she hurt. What was the point in making her brother's bf leave? She forced her brother to marry her lover for a short time to get what she wanted but she got to be happy in that she knew everything and was still with her gf while her brother wasn't allowed to be with his bf (even in secret) until after the divorce??? She kept them apart for 2 years (even ruined his previous relationship) simply because she didn't want them to be happy.
I love being Canadian but the dating thing - very like described here... not always as clear though - is horrible. People just want to "hang out" instead of asking you on a date and then you have no idea where you stand... I went on quite a few dates that I thought were just me hanging out with a friend.
Leaving the manipulation and whatnot (I really don't like them) aside for a min... it really bothers me that the seme hooked up with another dude. I get that he is single but he's pursuing our adorable uke （￣へ￣）
I think that was just a one night stand.. I don’t think anything gonna happen between him and the other dude. This reminds me of blood link when the seme hooked up with a girl but it was only a one night stand so I think that this is the same thing
I don't know why Aiden and Daniel don't talk to each other but Daniel clearly cares about his brother and helped Mason... I hope it was a misunderstanding and those 3 can make up
I'm glad Gretel wants them to be happy - I knew it was her who took his fear but then she seemed almost hostile towards wolf
I have always wished that Akitora never slept with Rogi. I think the story would be better had they not crossed that line. I get Rogi wanting Akitora but I don't like cheaters and I really don't like that he's so open about it. If they had been friendly, Rogi making passes and Akitora putting up with it but not going after him, I would like it better.

For those saying it's impossible for them to not have had sex for 2 years, that it's unbelievable... I know many couples that waited until they were married - yes, some for years - to have sex. It's not unreasonable, it's self-control.
Please don't take that as judgement on anyone who didn't wait.
After a new baby, my S.O. and I went months without sex because a lot of reasons. So I find it believable that they waited for two years. Even if it's modern not to wait anymore, there are still a lot of people who wait until marriage or until another important time. These two decided to wait and that's perfectly fine. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
