So it turns out that her mother is the one possessing a body and made her act like the lilith in the novel. So actually lilith is somewhat a victim here.
Lilith's mom. She has been forcing her idea of what Lilith from the book is supposed to act like into Lilith from a young age. This caused a double personality in Lilith- the 'good daughter' book Lilith forced by mommy and the 'I want to be free from mom's expectations' type that is colder and more calculating.
If the mom had just let her be, she prob would have naturally become the Lilith from the book. The real heroine of the story.
Lilith's mom is prob from earth or even Korea like our cute Sasha. If she knows those words... I bet she knows she's a written character, too. Similar to a Butler in As you wish, Prince.
Knowing this about herself (that Lilith is a char in a book) and her mother forcing her to act a certain way would explain the moe gap.
(I like to think of Lilith in this way rather than a split personality... I know it's not necessarily the true meaning of the phrase.)
I have not see raws so a lot of this is personal speculation. I did see the spolier about the mom forcing her ideals on the daughter a while back. Saying that, it probably changed some of the way I've been reading the chapters :)
Sigh.. I've put this webtoon on hold for a long time because of a comment that (non verbatim) "it's good but the ml is trashy at first"
Me after finally giving this a try: bish where?? The ml is freaking lovable. Their moments are always heart fluttering and just oozing with uwus.
Conclusion: I should have given this a try earlier, that's why YOU SHOULD TOOOOO~

Yah lucas, that's how kageyama & nishinoya explain things too.
