Jaein didn't want Taejoon to know that fact, so he made a deal with the old bastard that he wouldn't touch Taejoon or their child in exchange for some incriminating stuff that Jaein has. I think he got them from working at the brothel (or where ever he exactly worked or he owns it???). I'm not a 100% sure on all of this as I read the whole thing a while ago, but Jaein and Taejoon are definetly not brothers in any way.
