I feel the same way...they tell how you've survived what you been through and possibly became stronger for it! Also, earlier on in the story the female protagonist draws on freckles saying it makes her dirty looking or something so no one else would be interested...I still don't get how freckles are considered ugly I think they're lovely!(〜￣△￣)〜
I definitely agree! And I was also thrown off by the freckle bit because I would personally LOVE more freckles, I think they're absolutely beautiful. Along with many other types of beauty marks/scars/ect

I guess one part of the latest chapter confused me? Is the whole warning she's getting because she's about to dig up Mines where Matilda is buried without knowing? It sounds like the Duke has kept her resting place private, so it makes sense it wouldn't have come up beforehand. But will definitely be too late if so :(
