In English it's not too weird to have a name that sounds like a letter. I know people named Jae, Kay, Elle, Em, Es, and Tee.

It's very very similar to the way we say the letter Y (ipsilon). So it's funny to se a character whose name sounds like a letter. kakakakakakka

I'm not patronising you. I'm just expressing why someone who isn't greek (like the author) might make such a naming decision without realizing how wierd it is, and why much of the audience would similarly not fully register wierd it is.
