no there's no timeskip or time separated and they never do anything until he's 20. Tbf Cheon Seju never acknowledges Sejin's and his own feelings until he's an adult but I personally still felt quite uncomfortable reading the novel

kindly read the dialogues. don't just focus on ilay's actions but read tay's inner thought during the sex scenes or maybe throughout the entire serialization. there's chemistry and both like each other but are in denial. how can i tell? i read their dialogues one by one. ilay tend to force himself into tay but that's the way he's familiar of because ilay isn't really normal and isn't capable of doing normal human being things so i don't see why you're forgetting that. plus this isn't the usual romance bl you're hoping, this doesn't focus on their romance as a whole which is why it's kinda slowburn-ish. but the chemistry is there, just learn how to read and comprehend.
