ngl i dont like that duke eustos or something. like doesnt he know shes been drugged and stuff. not preventing such a thing to the point she became what she is. how the fuck does he deserve to be by her side??

I was thinking the same thing!! He really said that he fell in love with her at first sight and followed her for years, but when her personality did a full 180 he didn't question it?? PLUS everyone new that Fez was the one "manipulating" her that's why they already wanted to do a case on him! Sooo why didn't he question that when Fez got close to her she started acting all irrational. Eustos (who supposedly was in love with her) and the rest immediately blamed her?? ヽ(`Д´)ノ

Let's be fair here tho, the empress most likely chose to take the drugs herself. I don't think she played a completely passive part in it, and the Duke just slipped the drugs in her food. More like the duke offered her drugs, told her about how great they were, then she chose to take them and in the end got addicted. so I don't really feel that bad for her. and even if she was drugged, most addicts don't turn into tyrants and murderers because of drugs.
also how would he know she's been drugged? i doubt its something she broadcasts and its not like their relationship is great anymore.
which also leads to another question.. if she was so addicted, why the hell hasn't she had any withdrawal symptons yet??!!

I mean I assume that they all tried to stop her from associating with him, but she ignored them and continued to do so, considering the magician's attitude towards him and stuff. Also they said the reason the glasses dude was thrown into prision in the first place was because he wrote an expose on Fez. So people didn't blame her at first, but she refused to extricate herself from Fez, and then imprisoned all who expressed different opinions. Similarily, I feel like Eustos definitely tried, but there's no way someone does an 180 immedietly, it has to happen over a lot more time, and at the point they realized she was already too far down the rabbit hole.
But I find that a wierd plot hole honestly. Like it doesn't make sense to me how such a great leader would ever be tempted and manipulated by Fez in the first place. There's no way Fez is the only thing responsible for her personality change, I feel like something HAD to have happened before that.

yes! the last part of what you said is what i thought too and something that i commented on another thread! like if it wasnt for the drug (that may be special that only exist in this fantasy world), how did she change so much? what triggered the change? i dont think she was dumb and the people around her were supposedly more capable than fez too.

True enough, but we also don't know what type of drugs she was given. I think she was given something that makes her easier to control and more susceptible to peoples suggestions(AKA Fez). Plus she was already an established war hero so killing really isn't out of her comfort zone. So once she is manipulated into thinking that the people around her are enemies, I really wouldn't think that she would just idly stand by and do nothing. In regard to the duke, it just bothers me that he just accepted her extreme personality change. He followed her for years, so you would think that he has a really firm grasp on the type of person she is. It makes no sense why a person would work so hard to establish a righteous image for years just to throw it away in the span of a couple of months... Like he really just accepted that she SUDDENLY became this horrible person. And on the withdrawal thing, I just thought that it was due to the new soul inhabiting the body. In these types of situations, the transmigration usually heals the bodies previous illnesses. (at least in the ones I've read)(⊙…⊙ )
