Chap 36 mentions that the Ameri we know is an impersonator of Ryou Amezato and its not too much trouble and if it was revealed, why did Ameri gravitate towards the mc and does Koyama play a bigger part in this beyond maybe being the reasoning why Ameri got to know the mc and being the boyfriend of real Ameri?

The Ameri we know isn’t the real Ameri. His real name is Mao. Back in middle school, he became friends with the real Ameri Koyama. Plot twist: they ended up in a love triangle.
Anyway when it was time to move on to high school, I forgot why but the real Ameri didn’t want to continue. Around that time, Mao heard that Koyama had a friend named Yuuma, he was badly bullied, Mao decided to take Ameri’s place in high school in order to protect Yuuma.
Mao had a history of childhood abuse. During that time, he met GirlMao and Yuuma (you might’ve forgotten, but GirlMao already remembers they had met before, they were allchildhood friends). At first, Mao was especially attached to Yuuma because he shared the same name as Mao’s lost twin brother. That attachment slowly turned into love, he became obsessed with the kind and gentle Yuuma and wanted to protect him.
Koyama becomes more important later in the story. It’s revealed that he had been in love with Mao all along. But Mao was disgusted by him and said some very hurtful things. Feeling betrayed, Koyama ended up calling the police and reported everything, Mao’s wrongdoings and even the location of Mao’s mother corpse.
