Ikr and people are always like is it a romance. Like that's not gonna ruin the story gosh

I understand where they come from since some romance stories are bad but cant they even try?

Do they need to hate the story just because there is romance and said romance wasnt even presented yet?

Fr these people are so annoying. I was fine with it at first but now every manhwa i go will always filled with this question then they talk shit about the manhwa like can yall give a chance to it?? If yall allergic to romance just stop reading it and find another manhwa to read.

It’s not unusual for an action fantasy manhwa to have some romance in it so if they didn’t want any romance they should just read a pure action manhwa. There’s literally a bunch out there

While I agree that it’s really annoying, I get why they hate harems so much since so many stories have harems that either paint the women in a bad light or make them annoying. At the same time they should just read the story then judge if it’s worth their time.

i just chose to belive there asexuals that cant stand a hint of romance cuz they find it disgusting (or there salty virgins LMAO)




but like i get it romance is usally badly written and feels super annoying in 90% of fighting manga cuz the writers dont know how to do that genre well so i avoid it too but i understand why its there romance or dating is a pretty normal part of life for most people

Yeah no.... I mean... most times the girls in action comics with romance/harem are so badly done we get frustrated. From the way their clothes are drawn to their annoying personalities to being burdens on the mc most of times.
So it's not that we don't want romance on it but that the females in it are more like caricatures taken seriously than proper females. To the point it destroy the experience of reading it.
For example: Let's say that lil demon queen was the romantic interest and Dave was madly in love with her. You bet that would steer the story into him trying to find a way to properly unseal her than going for what his objective was before meeting her. Or be interrupted all the time to save her for something..

Honestly we checking for romance is more like checking for awful female representation instead. And honestly I do have to check romance comics for incəst, fauxcest (ince with step or adopted fam) and r@pe because there's a sh!tton of them around and it's not always clear on the synopsis if they have it. (￣∇￣")

Imo novels make the Harens have lot more sense then in the comic form... For example, Xian Ni, the harem was always one sided, meaning, the MC only loved 1 woman for the entire 2200 chapters. There was only 1 exception that if you read the Novel you will understant the reason.
But if read the comic version a lot of the story behind WHY the womans love him doesnt exist so It just looks like he is womanizer which is a huge lie. Each woman loved him with a very valid reason...So yeah

for me, I hate harem. I can't stand the fact that the girls are always either super dumb as fuck, has some unrealistic proportions, holding the main dude back or hate the MC but suddenly sees him as appealing. like I get it, most harem gets its bad rep from Chinese manhwas because their female characters are awful LOL.
but I would usually read the novel/manhwa up till the point the harem gets incorporated and then jump ship or try to ignore it if it's subtle. like for the second coming of gluttony and memorize, they have harem, the story has been great on manhwa so far and I heard for the novel the harem gets incorporated in the later part. so it is not out of my reading list but it's def at the bottom. harem just throws me off. I really don't understand the need for a harem? maybe it's because irl most of us are monogamous and that's what I'm used to.
but what bugs me the most is when a great manhwa/novel about leveling up/grinding and wtv has a harem. i prefer it to just stay on the route their taking and not use harem as a means to get more viewership. (I remember reading somewhere that some novels and whatever makes a harem because it gets more views. mostly targeted at males. >_>)

Imo it depends on how the harem was build, some harens are quite interesting actually but yeah...Most of the times they are poorly done and I agree with you on that.

I'm a male and I'm (for the most part) against polygamy, it just doesnt feel like genuine love BUT there are some novels who are capable of making very interesting one sided harens like I said, for example Xian Ni

Ohhh but killing someone for the first time as an ordinary person can also be very traumatizing(I know he killed his brother but that wasn't intentional pretty sure he was traumatized when his brother died and would'nt want to kill someone directly).
