As someone who'd be happy with a job that can sustain my humble lifestyle and love for books, I still stay up at night wondering if my major/gpa/school/experience will mean anything to someone willing to hire. As a humanities major it scares me to no end. So props to the mangaka for hitting close to home for a lot of us.
The way I see this turning out is that he will release him after the certain amount of times but once released, he already, or supposedly, develops Stockholm syndrome. This makes him long for the kidnapper or that is what the kidnapper wants to think. I believe that our dude here is gonna fake his attachment to his perpetrator in order to escape after the deeds.
I don't see a reason to title any of these characters as the "bad guy"... not Rikka, Aki...
Rikka loved Aki, she didn't know Touma had feelings, even if it was obvious as they were friends, her love for Aki might of hindered her from noticing her friend crushing on her love interest.
As for Aki, I can't blame him either. Touma slept with Aki at his most vulnerable, imagine mourning the love of your life when your future as a married couple just started... he didn't know Touma had such feelings beforehand either. It's a lot of psychoanalysis going on with him, the lost precious entombed in his childhood friend, as it is easier to memorialize his lover with someone that shares a similar relationship up until the actual dating.
And our poor Touma, he tried to rid of his feelings for his friend but in the end, he lost his precious.. that was never his to begin with.
I love the story because it shows the complexity of what it means to love, lose, and repress. It shows what it means to be human, and the reality of human nature is that there are no villains but only hurt people hurting people.

I enjoyed that full on conversation the two dudes were having in the bathroom lmao usually in yaoi it's like "oh gotta pee" but here it's like "i can't cook for shit lololol"
