And I’m LYING this was so good! I finished it in 2 days, I’m currently bawling my eyes out because that ending was cute as hell.
Definitely a good example of a dark romance. Plenty of heavy topics but are laid out for character development, lore, etc. instead of it just being unwarranted.
I can’t believe I finished it, I need more. Anything to fill the void.
It pisses me off how beautifully written this story is. The romance and chemistry is amazing. Even when they are possessive of one another its not toxic.
I love when two broke people yearn for eachother.
BUT THE AGE GAP, It just makes this a bittersweet read. Jiho could have been 18 going on 19 from the beginning, and his struggle of being young and inexperienced in the world compared to Woojung would have had the same impact.
And it would of made Woojung look less like a groomer.
Also adopting him?? Huh?? What?? The?? Fuck??
I was hooked from the start but being reminded that this Woojung for freaky the day Jiho turn 18 is just ugh... Hard to recommend without jumping through hoops.
it has always been a problematic story since the first day, also... in their glasses; they're desperate, they need a legal relationship acknowledged by the government. but hey, they're gay. they couldn't just get married especially in such country. so yeah, this aint smth that could be justified in real life—but well, it's fictional.
imo the adoption isn't as weird as it sounds. I've read a whole bunch of bl (novels) where characters legally adopt their partner for them to be considered each other's family and not have issues if any accidents or stuff happen.
Heard someone say it wasn't unusual irl too in some countries (this was a while back so not sure if it's still a thing)

But I need to find them and give them head, bc this is now my #1
