i absolutely HATED yoshimi he was the absolute worst and most abusive asshole EVER.
Not only is he constantly destroying Riku’s already low self-steem but he is also always testing him, and. for. what.??? Instead of reassuring him, being patient and properly treasuring him, he just treats him like absolute trash, like why would u even treat the person you’re supposedly madly in love with SO freaking bad?!
Also yoshimi’s attitude only slightly changed at the very end, so he got no redemption arc whatsoever and all his abusive actions just got casually brushed off.
this mangaka has a thing for unhealthy relationships but honestly, i feel like they outdid themselves on this one

I understand your point of view but he didnt destroy riku's self-esteem as you can see riku said it himself that he's no longer feeling any of his low self confidence he had and even though yoshimi really did hit him one time (when he slammed riku's head onto the wall) and it was so wrong but any other than that he helped riku in his own way maybe it isnt that clear.
Riku is gradually getting back his self esteem and yoshimi is a sadistic kind of person thats why he acts that way (not saying that sadistic people can really abuse others and leave) riku never complained because he doesn't hate it, he also said that.
guys do any of you by any chance know if when the real daughter appears she becomes an antagonist or if she actually becomes friends with Penelope?
i’m a sucker for the trope where the villainess and the heroine become friends ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
In the novel is around ch 140ish.. I can't remember but it is a long ways for the manga to catch up..
I like to read here.

It's on novelupdates.com too.
You have to Google ch.106 and so on. It's easy to find in Google for the rest.
In wattpad theres a girl who translates
The funny thing is that the real doughter looks less like a part of the family (in terms of appearance) than Penelope. It's suspicious
