Oda confirmed that the Marineford arc was the halfway point of the whole series. So pretty much, yeah it is ending soon and it's not just a rumor. After this arc, I'm guessing they're going to go to Reverie and more than half of this will get answered by then.
i really hope Oda and the team finished OP beautifully. Im ok with they end soon as long as they are great and satisfactory.
