I don't won't him to be weak either. But I don't think just hurting Yashiro would solve anything. That guy is lost. But I don't know anymore what can help, he is pretty messed up . Maybe you are right

maybe treating him that way will make him see how it feels to be used like a toy by the person u love? that way he can realise how badly he fucked up because obviously needs to be forced to admit his feelings for doumeki. otherwise we're back at square 1 with them walking on eggshells around each other & not admitting the obvious

It's not using him, it's making a choice. He had no obligation to date Doumeki after sleeping with him. And you're making it sound like he used him for sex. Doumeki is the one that initiated the sex and insisted throughout the act (even if Yashiro also wanted it deep down and eventually fully consented). He knew the risks, he knew Yashiro would probably avoid him after but he also made the choice to do it and I don't blame him for that.

After that Yashiro got scared due to his own trauma and insecurities but not only. He went ont a suicide mission and knew Doumeki would be better off without him and quitting the yakuzas. Yes he was super harsh about it but Doumeki wouldn't have listened if he had asked nicely. Hell, he didn't listen at all regardless, did he? There he is, 4 years later, working for the yakuzas in the hope he could meet Yashiro again.

I think it will be different. It all boils down to what Tsunakawa asked about "changing". What didn't change is how much they both love each other. Other than that I think they both changed for the best but they just don't know it yet. They will need to spend more time together and communicate to see that.

While this troupe might be an effective and easiest way to show the readers that yashiro do care for doumeki romantically, it is still a cheap one. On top of that, a move like that would probably reflect more on doumeki - a last-ditch attempt to see if he or at the very least his dick still matters to yashiro - which also means that's how shallow doumeki thinks of yahiro and of himself, destroying the depth of their characters and their relationship dynamics. I don't think the author would disrespect them with a lazy writing like that. With BL authors though, it's a hit or miss. But Yoneda Kou has a way of surprising us when we least expect it so yeah im on the verge of hyperventilating just thinking of her next surprise.
