Well, it is a made up story like most authors choose the hit factors that will draw attention of the reader and make impossible stories possible to imagine. like omegaverse or noble and poor cps. And sometimes authors use the rape line to show off as if noble/rich mc/mls completely obsessed/in love with mc to the point of assaulting them even raping them. The key point here is "possessiveness/obsession because of love" of some characters. Like it can be related to the real life girls who dream to meet rich guy that will fall in love to the point of obsession. But such stories will never happen in reality and authors let these wants be possible in such stories(even k dramas and movies) that entertains people. It is proven behaviour by psychology so disrespecting authors and the rest who worked on it is kinda bit not right. And it doesn't mean who ever reads such stories becomes raper themselves or by that supports the rape, in no way. Hope you find a good story for yourself!
Well, let me just clear some misunderstandings in this reply:
One: Rape never was and will never be an act of love. Never. I will not deny that rape as an act of love is a fantasy many authors share, tho. Yes, lot of writers fantasise rape as an act of love (or more precisely of desire) but here, that view did not apply. The emperor is not obsessed with the uke, he is just playing with him.
And even if he was raping him out of love and obsession, romanticising him is not okay.
Why?
Questions of representations.
Representation matters.
Let me give you two exemples.
For one, it has been proven that white people who weren't exposed during childhood to representations in medias (I'm talking about persons of different ethnies or sexualities) or if the representations they saw was just made of stereotypes, they have more chance to be racist or homophobes. Because of those kind of representations, they will not be able to depict a "stranger" or another ethnie, unless they rely on an image they built themselves, full of clichés and racism. They'll think black people are violent and stupid, asian people will be good in math and want to invade their homes or jews are shrewd and money oriented. And I can tell you: Those clichés kill.
They still kill, even today. When a black man is killed in his car by twenty three bullets because a policeman "panicked", I can tell you it wasn't just an accident: That man was killed because of racism. Racism starts with stereotypical representations.
Representations matter.
And it works actually the same way with sexual violence:
Our medias have trivialised sexual violence by showing a forced kiss (which is a sexual agression) as sexy, or hot. A man forcing himself on a woman is shown as sexy and normal in the movies we watch today: As a result, men will not think twice before doing it in real life.
Moreover, obviously this story is over the top. Obviously, nobody is going to go out after reading that story to do the same kind of fucked up shit with someone else. But as rape will not be properly addressed into it, as nothing will happen to the seme, it contributes to blur lines between what act is acceptable or not. If they're not going to tie someone up and rape them on the spot, who can tell me if they're not going to force a kiss on someone? Who's telling me that they'll be able to understand no? Who'll tell me if they're not going to rape an unconscious person? Because it isn't the only story showing that kind of shit, obviously. You have tons of them, always showing rape in the same way, as something not important, not impactful.
The violence shown on a screen has an impact in real life.
We really need to understand that.
