I’m pretty good right now but I’m pretty sure I’ll be screwed later. I’m pretty sure I’ll fail half my classes this quarter.

Right. What do parents think we are? Robots? Just cause you didn’t do want you wanted to do in life doesn’t mean you should push it on us. But I can understand where they’re coming from. They just want us to live with out struggling.
It’s true what you say they need to understand we have different struggles than them. We have different dreams parents job isn’t to break them but support them get me? They want be to a doctor and I want to be a art therapist. My mom wasn’t happy and throw all my artwork and supplies away and deleted every anime apps, pictures on my phone all she said was now be a normal person
I’m sorry. That’s not right. But there is something positive out of this when your an adult you can do what you want. And you learn not to treat people the same way you were treated cause you know that pain. Parents tend to release their pent up emotions from there childhood on their children. Like if they wanted to be a dancer but their parents forced them to be an officer worker, they stop their child’s dreams. It’s usually the mentality of “ Why should you get to do what you want but I couldn’t”. I 100% disagree with this mentality and it’s annoying that people still think this way. Personally I didn’t go through this my parents told me as long as I go to college than I can chose my career path. I really hope you become the art therapist you want.
