The Empress is so ambitious and unrepentant. I honestly admire her tenacity and drive for power. As a woman in such a society, I do think that plays a bit of a role in her outcome. I don’t like her, mind you -but you gotta give her props for that go getter attitude of hers.
We in life won’t get that second chance, along with a cheat that Tia got. And while the Empress to fall hard in the end, she did well to hold her own as a woman in a society where patriarchy rules. She flew too high into the sun, and her ego was her downfall then and will be it now. It’s an evil world we live in. She would probably dominate in this era.
Sadly what she lacks is the ability to parent her son. Her son will benefit all of her hard work and not for her. She thinks she knows her son but she really doesn't because she's too busy setting up the stage for him. Even without Tia in the picture, if her son becomes king, she'll be easily discarded because of how she brought him.
Nah, I don’t condone the son taking out his bitterness on the kids, but this is all the lady’s fault.
It even seems that he’s trapped by obligation, to take care of a place he resents, due to his mother’s dying wish to take care of the orphanage and kids.
I hope this ends well for him, but even I winced when the mother used the same reward and tone with the other kids.
And in the end she only wants him to find out how much she loves him, just cause she wants him to be a good manager to the orphanage.
I’m in deep reverence for her kindness to take care and love so many with such impartial, but her kid needed a little extra love. He even stated that he would get pushed aside sometimes, and that is even worse, cause the kids got better treatment than him.
What an oxymoron of a woman; selfish and selfless all at the same time.
She failed her child.

As long as his sister exists, he will never grow lol.
He may never age either hahahaha.
