This is a webtoon so it's not bound by the manga genres of shoujo/shounen etc. Also, the mc's personality(as well as the weird plot flow) is one that is very common in chinese webtoons and dramas. I get it that shoujo manga does get repetitive n annoying (and yaoi really is the higher genre lol) but this webtoon is unrelated to that
