These types of reactions actually makes more sense. It's hard to empathize with her because we don't necessarily "experience" death ourselves. We just stop breathing and that's it. But she has to live a second time while carrying that sensation, which is really traumatic.
A good break from cheat-y OP strong heroines who immediately stabilize and maintain a cool head even after dying once.
Like Evony said, their complaints are understandable -- society won't change and bend so easily. Opening up an orphanage in a middle of a merchant's street with noble patrons would cause some negative blows in their image, and sales. HOWEVER.
That doesn't excuse how aggressive and threatening they are acting. There are proper measures and ways to confront this if they really had a problem. It's not like they OWN the whole street ffs. For such "noble" people, they sure are acting like a bunch of uncivilized monkeys who had their bananas taken from them.
Imagine how ironic and pathetic it feels to rightfully have a grudge against someone who neglected and emotionally abused you, yet you can't say anything... because they have done nothing wrong to you in this timeline, in the past.
UGHHHH if the emperor still turns out to be the ML, I f*cking hope there is a totally well-written and well-executed development for it to happen. I won't settle for less.
Spoiler alert!!

He actually genuinely did love her in his past life and he knew she was just a replacement which was why he was horrified when they had a child tgt bc that meant that it would be harder for him to protect her. He had a reason for his past action despite how cruel it seemed to be portrayed here. But rest assured y’all would start to see why :)
This story doesn't require much investment. If you leave it to update for several chapters and come back, you'll have your memory refreshed quickly.
We've yet to come to the juicy deets on the bigger picture --- so that's something to look forward to.
It's actually quite refreshing how blunt our MC is, her little comments and reactions make me giggle. It's like we share the same brain cell.
For those who haven't caught up to "Main story end"... this comment has spoilers.

I honestly feel bad for Beatrice, I mean, the original --- before the real Raeliana entered her body.
I don't know if the side stories would cover this, but I do wonder where the real Beatrice went. She genuinely seems like a nice girl.
On that note, I also feel bad for Vivian. She ended up taking the role of "someone who died in vain". She wasn't exactly sin-less, because she's an accomplice in crime... but she definitely didn't deserve death.
Man, just goes to show-- even if you switch bodies, if YOU yourself haven't changed, then it's all meaningless. The original Raeliana (now "Beatrice") still died even after struggling to take a hold of her own life.
Woah thanks for explaining!! So that's what that dark magician meant by "entangled by two women: the blonde and the brunette".
In the end, Beatrice and Noah ended up together while Raeliana died... the circumstances are different, but it's the same ending. Ironic that their roles still ended how the Goddess wanted them to be.

Before anything else, Theo is the closest she ever had as a family and friend. Being conscious of status so suddenly seems BS when Chloe went from slave to princess overnight.
Being doting is one thing, but damn, FOR ONCE she requests something and y'all hesitating or not listening to her.
