Also pretty happy she didn't just dump Aria like she could have too and she seems to treat her new husband+his kids equally which feels so bizarre because of our preconceived notion of evil step mothers.
Do wish/hope to see more of her bonding with Aria because rn I'm a little torn/mixed on how good of a mother she really was for Aria after they started living with mielle's family. Mielle did confess to coercing her maids to convince Aria to do things and that's why Aria's personality mostly became warped to where she was seen as shallow greedy brat who was just envious of her sister's skills.
I'm sure her mother could have tried to convince Aria to focus more on her skills unless I'm missing something and/or she couldnt because the mother died from poison way early on which is why Aria didn't have her mother to lead the way.
In the flash back we do know she was at least loved enough for Aria to mourn her death and now in the current timeline, she's willing to collaborate with Aria's plans to pursue knowledge+gain affections(even to try wooing Mielle's crush) so she may just have her own way of raising her child with what she knew best?

To me, aria’s mother is also want her child to steal the glorious, but in a different way than some other villain’s mother because she does it without being obvious. I think, she knew her daughter very well.(⌒▽⌒)
