I dropped this because of the romance between the mc and elf girl(?) not sure, it’s been years since I last read this, i’m not rlly an action + romance person but there are occasions where i actually like it because it’s well executed and it doesn’t piss you off ex-(S-Class revival/survival hunter)
however in this case, i find the romance between aurther and tess..odd? I can’t put it into words but i rlly CANNOT feel their chemistry, i also don’t like an action/fantasy genre that has focus on romance so i won’t be picking this up now, it sucks because i saw review/spoilers about how good it is, but i can’t bring myself to read it again
I definitely don't get any feeling of romance in the story currently cause i feel like it's mostly focused on the war now and the little interaction that the couple has is almost none.
I understand how you feel, I think the lack of chemistry comes from the fact that we never actually got to see their relationship develop, it mainly happened over time skips imo.
But there really isn’t a lot of romantic interaction between them later in the story and it’s not a main focus, so I think it’d be worth it to keep reading.
