This was such an emotional ride. I’ve been having trouble reading new material because the plot and stories just seem repetitive and cliché BUT I binged this story in a few hours and I am crying rn because it’s so well written and has so much depth. If y’all know other stories like this please recommend!

If I'm being honest, this one reminded me of Banana Fish. It's not yaoi, but I could say that it's shounen ai.
(If you don't know the diference, yaoi is a boyxboy manga/anime and there is sex involved. Shounen ai is a boyxboy manga/anime, but it doesn't involve sex).
There is a manga and an anime of Banana Fish and you can chose whichever, but the manga's last chapter (idk about other sites, but on Mangago), is the last chapter + extras (you can read only that one after finishing the anime, if you plan to watch it & not read the manga) that are very important.

Thank you.. I have already watched Banana Fish and it broke my heart no, ripped it into a million pieces even though everyone would always allude to a sad ending, it was something I wasn’t prepared for. I had the same experience with Given episode 9 and I think Your lie in April. Lol you could say that I love reading/watching material that have very sad thematic elements and I always yearn for more.

Same. Honestly, I loved sad endings. I didn't know how Banana Fish will end (I would always spoil it to myself, like, I would hear that that's a sad anime and why and I would watch it) and I was totally not prepared and I cried for a long time, and now, 2 years after, I'm still not over it XD And now I don't like sad endings that much anymore xD Like, that was too tragic for me XD
But I'm so happy that you liked it!
I THOUGHT THIS STORY WAS WRAPPING UP?!?! Like can you give us a happy ending already?
