Ash was upset because of what Lyle said before (that Ash and Nick didn’t have any relationship anymore), he didn’t knot Lyle, only Lyle knotted

Oh if you read that chapter on mangago then it was mistranslated, the correct one has to be Lyle asking himself “am I knotting?”

I think you should reread those last chapters of ss1 where they went to the national portrait gallery, Ash accidentally found out that Nick (Karlyle’s younger brother’s husband, also Ash’s old crush) is pregnant and he asked Karlyle to send his wishes to Nick. Karlyle refused and said that Ash and Nick are no longer have any relationship and that made Ash upset

Hi, so what I think it is is that the father guy is obsessed with like finding a meaning to his life deeper than what he has no, such as a connection that he could have forever with someone. But, the link that he was trying to form with the Mc to become mates or whatever requires them both to love each other but father doesn't truly love the Mc bc he's been a vampire for so long and developed an obsession with the Mc bc they both trauma bonded as the Mc developed Stockholm syndrome and was doing whatever he could to appease father and make him happy so he would not be killed by him like his family. However, the Mc also doesn't truly love father bc father killed his entire family and he's only been making himself and father believe that he loved him so he wouldn't be killed, that is why their love link didn't work bc neither one of them loves each other. The Mc fakes it so that he can live and father believes he loves him so that his life can gain some deeper meaning/purpose and also bc he likes that he was able to pretty much shape and form the Mc into his ideal mate, one that does everything he says without question. So, in my opinion, father just kind of views him as a pet and believes the Mc belongs to him bc he made him a vampire and molded him to be what he wants in a mate. I hope this helped and didn't make things more confusing.

But yes, now that you mention it the MC probably hasn’t realised yet that what he feels isn’t love

Don’t worry about the love triangle, it’s very quick only in the beginning and once the truth is revealed- you realize it isn’t 2 guys after one person after all. I hate love triangles too but I was happy about the plot twist lol.

Omg I was rooting for Taku too!
I get it that it was a story for a more mature audience, but they could’ve at least gave us a couple of side stories with Taku..
that was so sad, it was the first time I cried out of anger for a comic (⌒▽⌒)

I know right Taku deserves a happy ending too. Same with me I've read countless of love triangles but this one is the ONLY one that makes me angry and stress.
