I'm always all for artists finding the right art style for them, but I guess it's the nostalgia that really makes me adore the old style 100 times better. that style in the groveling arc seasons with its PEEAAAAAKKK as hell story progression and emotions unfolding, matched with the really relaxing soft and decently-proportioned art; and again, the nostalgia. :"))).

this is a great example of novels that don't just write awful horrors like r*pe and codependency for the sake of nothing but romanticizing it; the story building is so well-put. the emotional aspects, the scary (the way the author wrote and illustrate ML's character is so fuckin scary for so many reasons) and horrible darkness that it served prior it, then this unfolding and build up of showing a genuinely BROKEN child born in a BROKEN tragedy of a past and family, as opposed to a lousy backstory. really, the art and the plotting is so well-made all in all.
him being so vocal, being a teasing lil freak, while also being a clingy, crying baby I'M LITERALLY SO FUCKING FERAL,,, Aaron's inner dialogues, yearning, and the way he's going crazy for him is so satisfying, because hell the fuck yeah. we allllllllll share the feeling
