AOT is about the cruelty of the world but also if the beauty, Isayama always dots the story with moments of hope and genuine connection between characters. Like Kruger said “love someone... or the cycle of hate will repeat itself.” Not everyone is going to die i think. It would be way too depressing.
I used to think Eren was def gonna die (even tho he’s my fav character). But then I had someone give me a new perspective and I honestly don’t know. Eren is the biggest victim of the story, of the 2000 yr old cycle of hate, of the cruel world, and if the main victim of the war dies, then what was the point? (On a symbolic and thematic level). The scouts are trying to save him, not fight or kill him. They don’t even blame him for doing this, they blame themselves for not giving him an option, for ignoring his depression/pain. That being said I don’t see a happy ending for Eren even if he lives considering he’s already shattered by the guilt. Ugh :(
I agree, I don’t think everyone is gonna die but damn a whole lotta them going out. But I’m glad the scouts are tryna save him and not kill him. Cause To me Eren is the good and bad guy but if he dies I’ll feel like everybody fought for nothing. And the cycle of hate will just continue. I mean I don’t agree with genocide but he has no choice he was literally push to the point of no return. I think he’s tryna get rid of the wall Titans as well too. Isayama is a different breed the story is so well written.
