The way I see it is I don’t think anyone is the wrong they both have their reasons,
Cheng deserves to know the truth about his son, while Ci Nian also has his reasons for keeping it a secret, he probably doesn’t want his lover to find out he is “deformed” as his family labeled him, it’s dark secret he doesn’t want many people to know. And Cheng is not forcing him he’s just asking Ci Nian to get checked, he’s not dragging him there or something. And with Cheng telling Wo Wo Ci Nian is his mom, I don’t think he’s trying to invalidate his gender, he’s just trying to point out he is the one who gave birth to Wo Wo, although it’s better to also call him dad, Cheng had no ill intentions.
