And u made a great point, we don't read this story for normal everyday romance, but to see something abnormal, weird even, it's simply put more interesting story with character like Kaya, because he is a wild card and we can't rly predict his next move, plus I believe leads in romance stories should have some kind of quirk of their own, to spice things up.
Nasu on the other hand is so fk vanilla it's insane, if in next chapter he will take FL to mall for a shopping date, or take her home to his sisters to paint pictures with their fingers I seriously wouldn't be surprised.

Bro why the hell do you think im reading this manga it's because i also think this manga is fun. You got toxic kaya who's got parental issues and nasu who probably has parental issues since he's the one raising his siblings. I just thought the author was building kaya's character well since he's opening up to other people then came crashing down. It's disappointing since i wasn't really decided on 'my' male lead. His background explains why he acts like a thug but that doesnt justify why he acts like one

You got nasu literally worrying about him because he noticed something was off and you got kaya who punched the said man in a fit of rage ofc kaya's gonna look bad cuz it's supposed to be his character development. It's to showcase kaya's troubled past and highlight his insecurities. You cant blame me for disliking kaya rn and wanting nasu for the MC when it's author's goal in the first place

I think the one who takes this story too seriously is you, and while everyone have the right to their own opinions, but if you don't want ppl to challenge them, then don't post comments, it works both ways.
Also it's completely normal to like Kaya more, since he is FICTIONAL CHARACTER, and thx to his fked up behavior reading this manga is more interesting.
I bet that you have a lot of friends just like Nasu, so do I, as friends they are awesome, but I wouldn't create any kind of media about them, since it would be fking boring.
Simple as that, Kaya is more complex character, and in comparison to Nasu he can have amazing character development in the future.
Also you are telling us you don't like his aggressive behavior, but I think you forgot that this is 14 yr old kid, with serious abandonment issues, he is not rational adult, so don't expect him to act like one, especially since he feels robbed of the only important thing in his life.
Lastly you can tell shit about him all day long, but the person most at fault is Ran, she doesn't have a backbone at all, and couldn't set boundaries between them since the start, and made a stupid promise she should know she won't be able to keep.

So you also know what is and isn't author's goal? I could as well say that the whole purpose of Nasu being in this manga is to show contrast between him and Kaya, and how different ppl act depending on their circumstances.
