you guys have too high expectations on her.
yes she is the white mage but she only borrowed it remember?
she's not a special human born with powers
she is just a human who searched and borrowed some magic for her plans.
every special things that she did is connected to her revenge, but this assassination attempt isn't foreseen nor connected to the plan so she needs to face it using her normal human brain and human body without distrupting her plan.
Don't forget that her powers are healing and purifying, can be used as magic but it has side effects.

i don't like if the emperor became the ml.
the family history is eerie to me.
in the cave they saw Fl's ancestor being a slave to the emperor, losing everything or death was the choices for the betrayal.
But what if same goes with Fl and the emperor?
she will loose her title and estates once everyone found out her real gender then he'll imprisoned her with marriage.
plus the emperor treats her like she's weak and doesn't have better judgement when he's the one who needs saving. what an idiot.
Enok might be annoying for now, but there's a way for Rozenta to control him, she just need to master it and our girl is a hard worker.

it's refreshing to have a male lead who has other things to do other than being a knight and shining armour to the female lead.
he's there to support but not to meddle.
one contributing factor why this is a slow paced story is because they keep their secrets to themselves, and will only reveal parts of it only after they're 100% sure or trusted the person, which i like.
you need to understand that they are a bunch of people who are surrounded by enemies who'll attack them if they don't know any better.
i like how it's slow paced.
and the fl and duke's father daughter relationship is so cute.

I actually really like the ml leads mother too! It’s refreshing to a mil that actually supports the fl instead of scheming and trying to have the ml marry her sisters daughter or some shit. There’s always this one female in the ml ‘s family that needs to be b*tch slapped to be brought to reality. The characters are actually well developed and now we even know why the fl’s family was the way they were.
I remembered reading this part in the novel but I can't handle the tension anymore so I went to reddit for spoilers.
the first post that I saw was that Penelope will end up with her brother the young duke and they'll have kids.
i was devastated for days like shit why?
fuck that april fools thread
