I really hate character/people who trashes someone else's life for their selfishness. For all we know that guy might not have deserved it. If you want divorce the go to court! I completely understand where you’re coming from. I also understand why the MC is the way that she is though. The MC like most people doesn’t realize when people are flirting and if people like them. In her mind the ML would live a happy fulfilling life with the heroine as long as nothing disrupts it.
There’s also the fact that stories need a problem to solve in order to continue it need a goal and a place to reach. In this type of story the "goal" or place when the story starts dropping towards the ending is when they both realize they love each other. This is of course unless the author decides to put other obstacles to the characters "happiness".
At this point, I'm proud to admit that I only love the original self of the princess and stuck to this because I was curious of the memories. The memories stopped being shown and our cool villainess disappeared and I personally didn't like the fl but I stuck for the original. Now it's to let this go. (▰˘◡˘▰)
