In the same she made it impossible for Saku to find out about Ryota's departure, she must have circumvented any communications in both directions, since she wanted Saku to be finished with work before he found out Ryota had been whisked off to America...

He was under the impression that Saku was still mad. If you actually read the manga with some reading skills, you would have seen he was too worried to tell him. First, Saku was angry at Ryota about his big brother. Now, Ryota basically LET big brother kidnapped him. Obviously anybody would be worried that their lover would be more angry about that. They'll also find it difficult to tell the other about that mistake. However I'm not sure if you could even understand that feeling. Please remember that Ryota has been poor all his life. He hasn't even flown overseas so obviously he'll get easily tricked. I seriously don't see the problem, it's not like he was there for SUCH a long time. He knew Saku was busy too so obviously he wouldn't have disturbed him either. Have you actually thought about any of this before you said what you said?
Okay so, let's take this in real life.
If somebody tricked you and brought you to another country like it happened, what woud be the first thing you would do when arriving? Follow big brother home, or maybe try to contact, I don't know... your family? Of course the brother told him he already did, but after being tricked like that, would you seriously believe him? I sure would not. But Ryouta act as if nothing matters and just goes with it. The only thing he actually does is... sulk in the plane!
Also I don't know about you, but I would not let someone do whatever they want with me just because I was poor.
So in real life, I would say that this is not believable.

I am very disappointed of Ryouta, he made Saku suffer thinking he was still mad with him instead of apologising for going to NY with the older brother. And now he caused a lot of trouble and worry to Saku by staying in NY, so selfish. Of course Saku is so good he is not going to get mad with Ryouta. I prefer a thousand times the couple with the yakuza and the policeman from the other manga of the same author.

The couples are so silly! They are those you just know would never happen. I mean come on, Inoue is so annoying and Ichigo clearly did not have any interest in her! This is just (bad) fan service.
Tho, at the end, I really thought all this s**t was just a possible futur that Kurosaki had destroyed when he killed mister bad guy. That would have been a nice twist.
Instead we get this shoujo ending where Rukia has a kid with Renji (when they had a brother-sister relationship) and become head of the shinigami...
With so much lack of imagination, it clearly was time to end this manga.

Don't even try to compare this manga with Naruto, Naruto have more logic than this manga ever had.
Naruto had intense and good ending, and i'm glad that Naruto ended up with Hinata rather than with Sakura (god i want to vomit just by imagined it Σ( ￣□￣||) )
Well, the problem I have with all those couples is that... there is no chemistry between them! Or maybe there is later, but we don't see any of it!
They are just friends (some with one sided feelings that should totally remain this way) and ten years later they are married. « It doesn't make sense but it's just because we didn't show you how they got closer, so it's fine! »
One of them could have become president (well, Rukia became head of the shinigami...) and it would have been fine. No wouldn't.
It's not that you have to show all of it, but if you don't show at least a little bit of their relationship building this way, it won't make seeeeeense! （/ ￣Д￣)/
And the couple that made me laught so hard in Naruto was obviously Sasuke/Sakura. Just no way xD
She got rejected so many times, I think by the end she clearly had more friendly feelings than anything else. And he was soooo not interested xD
Hmm.. you didn't realize it yet? It's been about 15 years we read Naruto, Kishimoto-sensei just a bit lacking in expressing romance. Well what do you expect? It's a shounen manga to begin with and i love it that way.
I don't know about Bleach since i stop reading it long ago, but in Naruto manga Sakura always love Sasuke and never stray from her feeling. Knowing that i think even a stone heart man like Sasuke can moved a bit, one way or another it's still make sense that they end up together.
If you want more romance how about start reading shoujo then instead of shounen and complaining about the lack of romance in shounen manga.
I tried to put myself in the characters' place and asked myself : would I fall in love with this person? No. No, I wouldn't. Unexpectedly, some people in life do have unrequited love, and most of our first loves won't bear fruits.
I don't read only shounen. I read absolutely every kind of manga, so I know what to expect of them. And this is precisely why it's not working here, the ending is one of a shoujo manga! For me, this is just fan service.
Anyway, I was just really annoyed at all theses endings that left me disappointed, but I can totally conceive that people will like them. Everybody has his own opinion and I respect that, but I still wanted to put mine here to show my discontent (づ￣ ³￣)づ

I think Samourai Deeper Kyo had a good ending. Characters got together but it didn't feel forced, because you saw them getting closer through the story. It was still a shounen, there was no kissy stuff (well there was gropping, but it hardly count for "romance"), but it just felt natural when they got together! This is what Naruto and Bleach are missing (just for the ending tho, the rest of the story is fine).
Rukia became the new captain of the 13th division. She did not become the head of the shinigami. =)

But I still think the author could have made a better ending after more than 600 chapter.
The fifth story made me sick. The seme is probably gonna find a way so the uke continue prostituting himself to this bastard until he is satisfied, which I think will be when the uke is mentally broken.
Yeah, plus you never get any closure on the subject so you are left with a knot in you stomach and no way to untie it.
