I tried to read this then paused for a while because it seemed weird, and then I read chapter 12. I'm invested now!

When will he have a next time to practice this useful advice? ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Lots of people are saying they experienced 2nd ML syndrome as usual, but it usually doesn't happen to me.

I stopped reading this some time ago because I got bored, but I received a notification today, so I came to check and now everyone is crying... I will not lose my time finishing this story, there is no "MC is happy so it's fine" for me! There is no need to make a character pitifully in love from the beginning just to have him unhappy at the end, all to make way for "the real protagonist".

I got into the story when it was about Keira and Cosette's rivalry, but left when Keira suddenly became in love with MC? Don't remember exactly, but I was disappointed that was what it was turning into.

Actually, the story still mostly revolves around their rivalry, but in the recent chapters, Cosette is finally gone, and all the conflicts have been almost resolved. Now, the focus is on building up the romance for a happy ending. That’s why the comments you’re referring to as “crying” are about Erez ending up with the FMC instead of Joseph, the second male lead. Personally, I think both of them are great. I honestly would have preferred that she chose both instead! lol

I understand that romance might not be what you're looking for here, I'm the same. But for me, the main protagonist deserves to be loved. In her previous life, she was abandoned by the one person she depended on the most—her father.

And like any human being would, we crave connection, affection, and someone who sees us for who we truly are. Romance offers the FMC a chance to heal, to feel valued, and to experience the love and care she was denied in her past life.

So, I hope you’ll consider giving it a chance! It’s truly a good read.

Don't misunderstand, I love romance and I definitely like it when a character find love after overcoming adversity and stuff... But when you have so many people disappointed, it means there IS a problem. Even people who like Erez as the ML feel like Joseph has been wronged.

I have a problem with the way the author portrayed the love part of this story. This is why I stopped. They showed a lovely and devoted character, showed us his impact on the story and on the MC, only to discard him later because "the new character was cooler!". By the time I stopped reading, I feel like he practically didn't appear anymore, it looked like a toy that was discarded by a child who had chosen a new favorite.

Obviously, Joseph not being the ML is not gonna make me cry or make me angry, it's just a story, but one of the basics of a story is to create attachment to their characters. Discarding one of the main protagonist is gonna make us feel bad because... we got attached to him as was intended! I feel bad because I have invested my time and interest just for the book to slap me in the face, saying that what was important or interesting to me was just trash for the story.

I sincerely thank you for the point you tried to make and for the time you use to share your opinion. I can clearly tell you really like this story, but I have been too disappointed and annoyed to give it another chance. Maybe others won't do the same.

    Mashiro-chan January 18, 2025 4:29 am

I see. Since I already knew from the start (due to spoilers) that Joseph wasn’t the male lead, I wasn’t as disappointed as many others were. I think that’s also why I ended up rooting for Erez. From the beginning, I already viewed Joseph and the protagonist as having only a master-knight relationship, so the story’s progression never bothered me. Though, thanks for taking the time to respond.

The mother said she will give MC her freedom back when she gets married but by then, her mother will not have a say in what she can do since MC will live with her husband... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

perhaps its something like not butting into her business anymore in the context of family, like after that they should not have anything to do with each other

Hummm, I feel like they don't have that bad of a relationship to consider almost cutting ties after marriage (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

It's been a few days since I read it so I'm not 100% sure, but it felt like she was just a strict mother. And she still let the MC write for some time. But as I said, not 100% sure.

Suzon January 16, 2025 4:23 pm

I am amazed by the stupidity of this protagonist.

Suzon January 12, 2025 10:19 pm

Nobody's talking about the missing chapter 60, it's nowhere to be found on internet...

Suzon January 12, 2025 2:09 pm

I feel like I read two different stories mixed into one. I was 100% sure the priest was gonna be the bad guy, with what he's done I mean...

Suzon January 12, 2025 9:41 am

Dain is so right. All the party members have a good style, so why is only MC's dress so lame? It just looks like her boobs are about to leave the dress... I thought the author dressed her badly on purpose for this moment, but the new cloth is the same design as the old one... Why is the author's taste so bad?

Suzon January 7, 2025 3:05 am

Okay the side story with the kids was cute, but is no one gonna talk about the ending? Like, if Richard gets all the evil energy the world will be doomed and Elissa can only sacrifice herself or kill him, just like in the past! So when it happens, it is tragic... Or it is supposed to be, because magic! The bad stuff suddenly disappears and everyone is doing great because of... the power of love I guess?? Because they obviously didn't love each other enough in their previous life ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I think the main reason was the lake, I feel like everything was so sudden in their past lives arien or however u spell her name didn't have time to maybe utilize it?

    Suzon January 11, 2025 10:38 am

Yeah, that probably helped. Still weird tho!

    miru<3 February 11, 2025 8:33 pm

It essentially did disappear (the darkness) bc of love. bc the goddess of the world wanted to destroy mankind bc of their greed (the greed that displayed was the two ancestors who killed the janeid/wtv his name was, despite arien sacrificing herself for him…
    Hopefully that makes sense
I believe bc the main characters changed the original fate, it showed that the creation of mankind was not a mistake (basically showing the goddess that humans aren’t all about greed and selfishness)

Personally I wished they went more in depth, but the author probably didn’t want to elongate the story or something lol

Suzon December 27, 2024 9:29 pm

In chapter 16, the author is trying to make it seem like Nadia is giving them a funny little punishment game to become closer with the knights, but people could literally die if they drank this much. Just wanted to point it out.
