Nah, I don't think MC/black hair dude loves red head as before. It is like when you are letting go your first love that was already falling apart. He sure has more interest in Ho In. Rather than Taesoo. And his interest is doubled because Ho In is actively showing his affection as well. That is how relationship works. Rather than clinging to lingering feelings that were uncertain since beginning.
I think author is trying to show:
1. How to let go your love that is falling apart, and no future for it.
2. How to accept love and fall in love again.
I like the story because I can feel all their emotions, situations and reasonings for their acts.

i cried.... what a beautiful ending. love how the author stated that Ino eventually died with Khakia by his side and how Jinsu was involved in a car accident. it makes the ending beautifully written since it's not all hearts and flowers but also a taste of bitterness in a good and realistic way.
