I am so happy with the author; having read all of their BL works up until now, I can see the way their art improved, but also how she moved away from toxic relationships to wholesome ones and even use the right amount of drama and angst to create a compelling story. Also I love her use of comedy here and there to stop the seriousness of certain scenes, plus even the cliches of BL stories are used very well and are never annoying.
I am loving so so much the utter respect and the need for consent the ML has and want, for himself and for the MC. This is one of the if not THE best Guideverse stories I've read so far.
You can say whatever you want about this story, but Cain's character development was top notch and frankly, the only character right now that has a chance of actually becoming happy, single or not.
And I think the same as him as well in regards of Jooin: he should find happiness by himself first, and then maybe find it again with someone else.
If this story really needs to have a romantic endgame (which I do NOT think is the right way to end this story, but the author on her sns said otherwise), then I can say now that I am finally team Cain.
As an older sibling I felt the bit about Dowon's past so so much, the pressure most of all. I am happy that Dojin doesn't really resent him and that in their own way they really care about each other.
And to continue the point I was trying to make in my previous comment (comment that got people starting drama/flame under it for no reason and then same people proceeded to block me after insulting me even if I was just trying to have a civil discussion): I hope everyone realizes now how awful Dowon and Dojin father and grandfather are (I can't talk about the mum because she looked like she was cool, but she is giving me absent-parent vibes now) so if both of them decide to leave the family (through legal means or not), then they have all the rights to do so.

I am that weak, I would have folded so fast too after that "I want you". So simple, but so strong.
