Also think about how the uke is feeling. He has no family or anything one that is close to him (without having an obligation like his caretakers) to talk to. You're all alone, have lost your child, and the father doesn't seem to even look like he cares even when they're alone. The seme is also keeping him in the dark about who poisoned him, in which the uke thought the seme did it. He is going to be insecure.
Don't get me wrong I also get the fact that the seme doesn't want to show how he feels hoping that it will bring come comfort to the uke. As well as running a country, he need sto keep walking. But that will also backfiring on him in the uke.
