I honestly don’t really want them to get together and her be all in love with him when he consistently ignored her feelings. Like, the authors trying to be like “nooo he’s always loved her!!” but kinda hard to believe when he never put even a little bit of effort into the relationship and just took everything she did for granted.

Right? Love’s not enough to sustain a relationship. Reading that he was too INTIMIDATED to spend time with her then chose to pussy out and hang out more with his female best friend instead of growing some balls and do the bare minimum was frustrating.
I do believe the princess genuinely thought he was being supportive but I think the guy deluded himself into thinking he was when really he was using her as an excuse. He got too comfortable with the marriage already being arranged and checked out on effort before it even began.

Spoiler:
I remember the novel ending with them still being engaged (for convenience's sake, on her end), but she still goes and does her own thing while he desperately tries to regain her affection. Like, HE follows HER to this other country b/c she was offered the chance to study abroad and he didn't want her to get stolen (lol) by someone else. She, meanwhile, doesn't really care.

The faces of everyone after the charm potion/spell wore off is very satisfying to see. Even though they were “charmed” by her, I feel like there’s only so much a spell can do and their bullshit went beyond that. They deserve the comeuppance.

Spoiler
The charm or potion she fed people only enhances the already excisting feeling someone has for another. They all liked her not because they fell in love but because she made them feel like "real men". They all knew she was an idiot show off but liked that she clung to them like a damsel in distress. The most unforgettable thing was that the like seeing Remi in distress when she saw them hanging out with the star idiot!! They literally liked that Remi was sad and confused that they didn't hang out with her but sided with star idiot!!

Bro really pulled the Reddit incel move of “omg you’re so beautiful and amazing and I love you. Marry me?” and then when getting rejected switched entirely to “actually you’re ugly and stupid and no one would ever want you because you’re so awful.” Like a page right out of the incel textbook

He has not shown one single good character trait but expects the FL to be with him. Absolutely baffling mentality and he is the definition of delulu rn. I am SO happy she’s not letting him manipulate her after everything she’s been through because of him and her family. I’m just worried that she’ll take what he says to heart about the duke marrying someone else and all that since the end was a little ominous
Omfg why is she so unlucky . My poor baby I’m so sorry
