E-rank based on what? in chapter the MC just explain the condition where his skill can be OP, basically 1v1 with no time limit, so it's not useless. But then BAM the rank mechanic said it's shit. personally, i would give him a C rank, because situationally powerful, a "debuffer" type char.
hell if lvl 1 paralysis is that good such it affect boss monster, might even be A rank (but let's see how the story explain the skill more)
Feels like plot is just desperate to find a reason so the MC become a dark horse character
