The pacing being off made the story line a bit confusing for me, like the way it flowed I was getting lost in what direction we were headed and all of a sudden I was at the ball lol
But it's not too unbearable I hope it stays abit more focused like it was in the beginning chapters

That somewhat was the case for me too. It could have been a bit slower in progress there, or at least a tiny bit more detailed to not come across so jump cut-ish.
